Daughter of Enrile Responds to a Post About Drugs

KATRINA PONCE ENRILE – The daughter of Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile replied to a post by Malou Tiquia, founder and CEO of Publicus Asia.

Tiquia’s post came after the National Bureau of Investigation-Dangerous Drugs Division (NBI-DDD) raided a drug den in the Malacañang compound, resulting in the arrest of a man. Tiquia commented on the raid in light of the ongoing issues caused by Typhoon Kristine, stating, “#Malacañan is the seat of power. It is also a drug den. We are reeling from #Kristine and this?”

In her response, Katrina questioned whether Tiquia was suggesting that her father was also involved in illegal drug use. She emphasized that the Marcos administration is actively working to address the impacts of Typhoon Kristine on the country. Katrina asked, “Are you implying that even JPE is also using prohibited drugs?” She challenged Tiquia’s statements, arguing that it was unreasonable to blame Malacañang for natural disasters, pointing out that typhoons are acts of God.

“Let’s step back for awhile, if you can still be reasoned with, and analyze for a minute. Are you saying all typhoons are caused by Malacañang? Is it not an act of God?” she asked. “The President and all his cabinet members are doing what they can given the magnitude of this calamity. I am sure you can understand that….like before!” she added.

Tiquia responded, stating that she never mentioned JPE or claimed that Malacañang causes typhoons. She said, “Yes, typhoons are acts of God but it is not God that plans and prepositions.” Tiquia criticized the government’s response to the crisis, claiming there was a lack of real discussions and solutions in the command conference. She expressed concern about the government’s apparent inaction, referencing the recent damage in various regions due to Typhoon Carina.

As of now, Katrina has not publicly replied to Tiquia’s remarks.
