DIEGO ASPIRAS – A 20-year-old football player and son of actor Edu Manzano and chef Reggie Aspiras, is making a name for himself in the Philippine Football League (PBL) with his team, the Manila Digger. He is currently studying for a B.S. Management degree at Ateneo de Manila University and has recently gained attention for his promising football career, managed by VP Global Artist and Talent Management.
In a recent interview with PEP.ph, Diego shared his feelings about having famous parents. He described it as feeling “normal,” saying that he has become used to their public lives. He believes their success motivates him to do well in his own field, just as they aim for success in theirs. Diego values the lessons taught by his parents, especially the importance of following what makes him happy and giving his best effort in everything he does.
Although his father is famous in showbiz, Diego currently has no plans to pursue an entertainment career. He wants to establish himself in the football world and hopes to help revive Philippine football. Diego thinks he has inherited his mother’s determination and strength, while he gets his charm and outgoing personality from his father.
His favorite meals are his mother’s steak and roast beef, showing his appreciation for her cooking skills. Balancing schoolwork and football can be tough, but Diego makes it a point to prioritize his tasks, dedicating focused time to both his studies and his sport.
Diego fell in love with football when he was about four or five years old, attracted by its competitive side and the excitement it brings. He cherishes the experiences and passion that football has given him.
