Carlos Yulo’s Paternal Grandpa Greets the Couple on Their Monthsary
GIL YULO – The paternal grandfather of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo greeted him and his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, on their monthsary.
Chloe and Carlos started their relationship online in 2020 after she reached out to him as a fan following the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. They met face-to-face for the first time at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam in 2021. Even though they are in a long-distance relationship, Chloe and Carlos have maintained a strong connection.
Chloe has attracted public attention due to controversies surrounding Carlos’s family, particularly regarding his mother, Angelica Poquiz Yulo, who reportedly disapproves of their relationship. The tension between Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose and the Yulo family arose when Mark Andrew Yulo, Carlos Yulo’s father, suggested that Carlos apologize to his mother, Angelica, for labeling her a thief in order to improve his public image.
Chloe responded by implying that Angelica had cursed Carlos prior to his Olympic achievements, which heightened the conflict. Mark expressed frustration over Chloe and Carlos’s lack of communication and emphasized the importance of resolving the matter. Chloe defended her actions, mentioned that Carlos stood by her, and declared that this would be her final statement on the situation.
Recently, Chloe San Jose took to the social networking site Facebook, where she posted some photos of herself and her boyfriend as they celebrated their 52nd monthsary. She even shared the letter she received from her boyfriend.
Among those who greeted the couple is Gil Yulo, the paternal grandfather of Carlos. In the comment section, he wrote: “God bless u both and Happy Anniversary.” Chloe replied, “maraming salamat po big daddy!! for sure pagod pa po kayo nyan, pahinga po kayo ng maigi. godbless po.” Carlos noted, “thank you po daddy i love you po.”
