Car Owner Runs Away Without Settling ₱1,826 Bill at a Gas Station
WANTED – A car owner is in hot water for allegedly fleeing without paying a ₱1,826 gasoline bill at a gas station.
A certain Allan Depilo recently turned to Facebook to call the attention of a car owner who allegedly fled without paying a ₱1,826 gasoline bill at a gas station. According to Depilo, his father, a gas station attendant with 45 years of experience, serviced a black Toyota Vios with the plate number DBM3497. The car owner had assured the attendant that he would pay via money transfer but drove off without settling the bill.
In his post, Depilo pleaded for the car owner to return and pay for the gas, emphasizing that his father should not have to cover the cost. He stated, “My father doesn’t deserve this for him to pay your gas worth P 1,826. If you have credibility and a good heart please go back to Caltex Merville and pay your gas. His salary is enough for our needs.” He highlighted the hard work his father puts into his job, mentioning that he has never had issues with money during his lengthy career at the gas station.
Depilo expressed his frustration, noting that it was unfair for the car owner to take advantage of his father’s honesty and dedication. He appealed to the car owner’s sense of compassion, urging him to reflect on the impact of his actions. “Imagine He works so much for a small amount of money then tatakbuhan mo pa sya Sa halagang 1,800,” he wrote, emphasizing his father’s honorable work ethic.
In a follow-up interview, Depilo revealed that they have already identified the car owner and are in contact with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for further verification. He confirmed that his father had already paid the bill to avoid complications with sales at the gas station. As of now, the post has garnered significant reactions and shares, reflecting the community’s engagement with the issue.
