ALJUR ABRENICA – The actor is running for councilor under the party of former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Oscar Albayalde, who is running for mayor in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Aljur is an actor, singer, model, and dancer. He hails from a musical family, with his father, Alfonso Abrenica Jr., being a musician and his mother, Amor Guiang, a member of a band. Initially aspiring to become a pilot, Aljur’s life took a different direction when he joined the reality talent search show StarStruck in 2006, where he won the title of “Ultimate Hunk,” launching him into the entertainment spotlight.
After signing with GMA Network, he starred in various successful television dramas, including Dyesebel, Machete, and Kambal Sirena, and appeared in films like Nandito Ako… Nagmamahal Sa’Yo and My Kontrabida Girl. In 2017, Aljur transitioned to ABS-CBN, where he took on leading roles, further solidifying his status in the industry.
On Monday, the actor filed his Certificate of Candidacy as councilor under the party of former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Oscar Albayalde, who is running for mayor in Angeles City, Pampanga.
