In the province of Antique, classes at all levels, including both public and private institutions, have been suspended in the following municipalities: Anini-y, Barbaza, Belison, Bugasong, Caluya, Culasi, Hamtic, Libertad, Pandan, Patnongon, San Remigio, Sibalom, Sebaste, Tibiao, Tobias Fornier, and Valderrama.

In Occidental Mindoro, the following areas have declared class suspensions for all levels: Abra de Ilog, Calintaan, Looc, Magsaysay, Mamburao, Paluan, Rizal, San Jose, and Santa Cruz.

Other provinces and cities that have also suspended classes include Malapatan in Sarangani, Talisay in Negros Occidental, and Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte. Additionally, Linapacan in Palawan has canceled classes in all public schools.

PAGASA forecasts that the southwest monsoon will continue to bring heavy rains over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Western Visayas, the Negros Island Region, BARMM, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Soccksargen within the next 24 hours. The public is advised to stay alert for possible flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.

The class suspensions aim to prioritize the safety of students and school staff as the country braces for the effects of the habagat. Stay tuned for further updates on weather conditions and additional announcements regarding class cancellations.
