Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte Makes Move on PNP Operations in Search for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy

RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former President filed charges against the Philippine National Police (PNP) officials over the operations at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound.

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is now in the hands of the Philippine authorities. An arrest warrant was issued against him and he is facing charges not only in the Philippines but as well as abroad.

However, prior to the arrest of the founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted intensified search operations at the KOJC compound in Davao City. The operations included drilling activities as the authorities saw the possibility that the Pastor may be hiding in a bunker.

Amid the intensified operations of the PNP at the KOJC compound, Vice President Sara Duterte and Attorney Israelito Torreon, the legal counsel of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, expressed their belief that he is not anymore inside the compound. The Vice President also denied seeing any bunker inside the compound.

The Pastor is close to the Duterte family. Vice Pres. Duterte even apologized to the KOJC members that she sought their support for Marcos in 2022. The intensified operations of the authorities to search for the Pastor are happening under the Marcos administration.

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is a close friend of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The latter is even against the decision of the Court of Appeals saying that it is wrong to place the Pastor’s assets under a Freeze Order. The Court moved to extend the said Freeze Order until February 2025.
