Rob Gomez on Herlene Budol: No Communication, But Still Good Friends
ROB GOMEZ – The father of Amelia, his daughter with Shaila Rebortera, shared personal updates in a recent interview as his daughter’s birthday approaches on December 5, 2024.
Despite his struggles, Rob revealed that he was doing well, stating, “Life goes on, so we have to keep on moving, too.” However, he admitted that his heart longs for his daughter, whom he hasn’t seen since December 2023. Rob is actively pursuing legal means to resolve the situation and reunite with Amelia. His entire family, including Amelia’s great-grandmother, misses her deeply, and Rob emphasizes that everything he’s doing is for his daughter.
The issues surrounding Rob’s personal life have also impacted his family, especially in dealing with the stress of separation from Amelia. However, Rob continues to be optimistic, focusing on his career and personal growth.
When asked about his relationship with Herlene Budol, his co-star in the show “Magandang Dilag,” Rob confirmed that they are no longer in communication but remain on good terms as friends. He quickly dismissed any rumors of a deeper connection, affirming that they are just friends. Rob also expressed interest in a potential sequel to the show but confirmed they have not met recently to respect each other’s privacy.
Addressing the controversies he faced over the past year, Rob joked about being linked to beauty queens and admitted that some good opportunities came out of the issues, including being cast in “bad roles,” which he finds exciting. He acknowledged the mental health struggles that came with his challenges and stressed the importance of talking to friends and family for support.
Recently, Rob returned from Taiwan after filming “Strange Frequencies: Haunted Hospital” for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). He described the experience as a “game-changer,” marking his first time shooting in a different country. Rob expressed excitement for the project and is looking forward to its release. Despite the challenges, Rob remains focused on both his career and personal life, hoping for positive outcomes on all fronts.
