PNP Speaks on Search for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy

PNP – Amid their intensified search ops to find Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the Philippine National Police asserted that he is still inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound.

Countless Filipinos are dismayed that the authorities have yet to locate Pastor Quiboloy who is faced with complaints not just in the Philippines but as well as in the United States. There is a pending warrant of arrest against the founder and leader of KOJC.

Over a week ago, the Philippine National Police launched an intensified search operation in the pursuit to serve the arrest warrant against Pastor Quiboloy. The authorities conducted the search operation inside the KOJC compound in Davao City.

The PNP is on their 11th day of searching for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy inside the KOJC compound. The authorities stand firm that their radar has detected a human heartbeat underground. The police did drilling inside the compound to find the alleged “bunker” where the Pastor may be hiding.

Previously, Vice President Sara Duterte expressed her belief that Pastor Quiboloy is no longer in Davao. According to her, there was enough time for the Pastor to decide and leave Davao City. The lawyer of the Pastor who is also the spokesperson of KOJC, Attorney Israelito Torreon, also believes that the Pastor is no longer inside the KOJC compound.

According to the camp of the Pastor, Apollo Quiboloy has set a condition for President Bongbong Marcos for his surrender to the authorities. The Chief Executive has not reacted to the condition of the Pastor.

The PNP is on its 11th day of drilling inside the KOJC compound. According to PRO-11 Director Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, they believe that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is just there laughing at them. Based on a report on GMA News, Torre is hopeful that the police will be able to arrest him.

“Hanggang ngayon, naniniwala kaming nandyan siya… tinatawanan kami… sige lang, there is always time for everything at darating ‘yan… sabi ko nga, mahuhuli rin natin yan,” he said.

According to the report, Torre also challenged Atty. Israelito Torreon to prove his claim that the police is digging a tunnel at the JMC building and it has allegedly reached 8 feet deep. The lawyer also claimed that the said alleged tunnel might affect the stability of the building.

“Yan sa digging na yan, allegation ni Atty. Torreon yan. Let him prove it,” Torre said.

Previously, the Philippine National Police also assured the public that they are not bringing in equipment inside the KOJC compound that are not related to the search ops. The PNP denied the allegation that they are planting an evidence.
