Mother Shares Video of Daughter Crying After Accidentally Removing Mannequin’s Hand During “Mano” Gesture
A mother shared a video of her daughter who suddenly cried when the mannequin’s hand accidentally came off while she was performing the “mano” gesture.
Recently, Lyca Salazar or lycamutya, a TikTok user, shared heartwarming and funny video of her daughter, Keonna who bursts into tears after the mannequin’s hand falls off during her ‘mano’ gesture.
The post quickly spread like wildfire on social media and garnered various reactions from the online community.
The video shows Keonna performing the Filipino gesture of respect called “mano” on a mannequin. However, what made the video go viral was the unexpected moment when the mannequin’s arm came off during the gesture.
In Filipino culture, “mano” is a sign of respect where younger people take the hand of an elder and bring it to their forehead as a blessing. Keonna, being used to this practice, automatically did it when she saw the mannequin while they were out shopping for shoes.
Salazar found the moment adorable and started recording her daughter. But to her surprise, as soon as Keonna did the gesture, the mannequin’s arm falls off, which made the situation even funnier.

“Bumili kami ng shoes niya that time tapos [nakita ko siya] na nagbl-bless, sa tuwa ko vinideohan ko siya at sa hindi inaasahan, bigla naputol yung kamay kaya lalo ako napatawa,” Salazar said.
Lyca shared that she couldn’t help but laugh at the innocent mistake, and it seems she wasn’t alone in her amusement. The little girl bursts into tears after the mannequin’s hand falls off.
Many netizens praise the young girl for her respectful nature while also getting a good laugh from the lighthearted moment. The video shows that even the smallest actions can bring joy to many people, especially when combined with unexpected humor.
