Mark Lapid Finishes Doctorate Degree in Business Administration
MARK LAPID – The TIEZA Chief Operating Officer (COO) has completed a doctorate degree in Business Administration from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
Mark is a Filipino actor and politician. He is the son of actor and Senator Lito Lapid. Mark began his public service career at a young age, becoming an SK (Sanggunian Kabataan) Chairman at 16 and later serving as a youth sector representative in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Pampanga.
He was elected Governor of Pampanga at 24, serving from June 30, 2004, to June 30, 2007. During his tenure, he focused on increasing infrastructure spending and improving the province’s productivity. Mark later served as the General Manager of the Philippine Tourism Authority from August 1, 2008, to October 14, 2015, and as the Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) from 2009 to 2016. He was reappointed as TIEZA Chief in January 2021.
In addition to his political career, Mark Lapid has acted in several films and television shows. Notable film roles include “Tatlong Baraha” and “Apoy sa Dibdib ng Samar,” and he has appeared in TV shows such as “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” and “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.” He is married to actress Tanya Garcia, and they have two daughters.
Meanwhile, Mark Lapid, the TIEZA Chief Operating Officer (COO) has completed a doctorate degree in Business Administration from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. This was shared on the Instagram page of his father, Senator Lito Lapid, on Friday, September 6.
“Masayang masaya ngayon sina Sen Lito Lapid at Mrs Marissa Lapid sa pagtatapos ng kanilang anak na si Mark Lapid,” the post stated. According to the TIEZA Chief Operating Officer, he considers his doctorate degree as a gift to his parents.
