Here’s Doc Willie Ong’s Reaction To VP Sara Duterte’s Message
DOC WILLIE ONG – Here is the reaction of cardiologist Doc Willie Ong to Vice President Sara Duterte’s touching message.
Vice President Sara Duterte sent her best wishes for a “speedy and complete recovery” to cardiologist and health champion Willie Ong, following his announcement that he had been diagnosed with an abdominal sarcoma.
Ong, a candidate for vice president in the elections of 2022, recently announced his sickness on social media.
“I extend my heartfelt support and wish you a speedy and complete recovery. Your courage and optimism deeply moved us all as you shared your diagnosis and ongoing battle with sarcoma. Your strength and positive outlook in such adversity are genuinely inspiring,” the politician wrote in a letter, which Ong posted on Facebook.
Inday Sara also mentioned a personal note: “My mother, Elizabeth, watches you on YouTube and prays for mercy and healing.”
According to Doc Willie Ong, the sarcoma may have developed as a result of the strain of receiving unfavorable criticism during the contentious political campaign. Ong was advised not to participate in campaign events in Mindanao during the 2022 elections, as Duterte had a sizable following there and some voters were undecided between him and Isko Moreno.
Ong was campaigning when an accident on a moving float resulted in a shattered arm.
Ong had previously worked as a consultant for former health secretary Enrique Ona and as the running mate of former Manila mayor Isko Moreno.
Sarcoma is a rare kind of cancer that appears in the connective tissues and bones.
Ong is optimistic about his recovery despite the difficulties and restricted treatment options associated with sarcoma.
