How Cassandra Ong Managed to Curl and Color Her Hair, Direk Erik Matti Asks
DIREK ERIK MATTI – The award-winning director questioned how Cassandra Ong managed to curl and color her hair.
The veteran director took to Instagram to share a screenshot of Cassandra Ong from the latest Senate hearing involving the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality, along with the Committees on Migrant Workers, and Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.
In his caption, he expressed his frustration over how Cassandra, who was supposed to still be in detention at Congress and had recently been released from the hospital, was able to have her hair styled and colored.
He questioned how this was possible and where it was done, asking, “Anaknang! Di ba naka detain ito sa Congress up to now? And kalalabas lang ng ospital? Paano nangyari at nakapagpakulay at nagpakulot pa?!!! At saan niya ginawa yan? Sa loob ng Congress? Home service?!!!”
Meanwhile, Katherine Cassandra Li Ong, commonly known as Cassandra Ong or Cassy Li, is a businesswoman associated with Lucky South 99 Outsourcing, Inc., a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) based in Porac, Pampanga. Born on May 23, 2000, Ong has been linked to the controversial POGO operations, which are under investigation for criminal activities.
In 2019, Ong acted as the “authorized representative” for the company when it acquired its operating license from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). However, following intense questioning by Manila Congressman Bienvenido “Benny” Abante Jr., Ong admitted her involvement with the POGO.
On August 20, 2024, Ong was arrested by Indonesian authorities in Batam, Riau Islands, Indonesia, and was subsequently deported back to the Philippines.
Meanwhile, a former chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) is said to be connected to Alice Guo’s escape from the Philippines, according to a Pagcor official. These allegations were presented during a Senate hearing on illegal POGOs. Senator Risa Hontiveros inquired about new information concerning Guo’s covert exit from the country in July.
