Carlos Yulo Avoids Question About Who Manages His Finances

Carlos Yulo Dodges Question on Who Handles His Finances

CARLOS YULO – The two-time Olympic gold medalist dodged a question about who manages his finances during a press conference organized by a company for him.

Yulo, who has earned over PHP 100,000,000 from government and private sources following his success at the 2024 Paris Olympics, was asked by a content creator about his financial management but chose not to provide a direct answer. Instead, he laughed and shifted the focus away from his financial affairs.

Carlos emphasized that his primary focus was not on the money he received but on his achievement of winning gold medals. He mentioned that since childhood, he had wanted a car, but thanks to two car companies gifting him vehicles, he no longer needed to buy one.

“Siguro nu’ng bata po ako sasakyan. Kaso binigyan na po ako ng Toyota, e. So I don’t have to buy na po,” said Carlos. “Siguro sa mga gym stuff ko po na kailangang gastusan, du’n po ako magpo-focus. Sobrang bonus na po kasi talaga yung dumadating sa buhay ko. Talagang pinakamahalaga sa akin yung gold medal na nakuha ko, e. Bilang bata na nangarap talaga at naabot ang pangarap,” he added.

In addition to discussing his cars, Yulo shared that he planned to invest in gym equipment to enhance his training. He expressed that the additional funds were a bonus and reiterated that the most important aspect of his recent success was the gold medal itself.

Carlos reflected on how achieving his childhood dream of winning gold was the most significant accomplishment for him, and the financial rewards were secondary. His response highlighted that while he was grateful for the financial support, his main priority remained his athletic goals and continuing to improve his performance through better training equipment.
