YouTuber Effin M Receives PHP200K Watch from a Billionaire
M. A. YUSUFF ALI – The chairman of the LuLu Group, surprised YouTuber and watch expert Effin M with a luxury Rado watch worth PHP200,000. Effin M, who creates content about branded watches worn by celebrities, shared the experience in a video on Instagram. Effin has 358 subscribers on YouTube and 524K followers on Instagram.
The video shows Effin entering the LuLu Group headquarters, where Yusuff warmly greets him. After a hug and handshake, a staff member of Yusuff’s presents a small box to Effin. Inside is the Rado watch, which Yusuff personally places on Effin’s wrist, leaving the YouTuber in disbelief.
The backstory behind this generous gift stems from a gesture made by Effin in July 2024. Effin had gifted Yusuff a customized watch featuring a photo of Yusuff’s late mother. This watch was created after Effin was moved by a video in which Yusuff shared stories of the love, lessons, and memories left by his mother. Deeply touched by this gesture, Yusuff reciprocated by giving Effin the Rado watch.
Yusuff Ali is a well-known figure, serving as the chairman and managing director of the LuLu Group, which owns a vast retail empire that includes the LuLu Hypermarket chain and the LuLu International Shopping Mall. His business portfolio comprises 256 hypermarkets and malls across the Gulf region and India. As of now, Yusuff’s net worth is estimated to be over US$8.9 billion, according to Forbes.
