Mrs. Philippines Invites Angelica Yulo to Join Its Pageant
ANGELICA YULO – The mother of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo has been invited to join the 2025 Mrs. Philippines pageant, scheduled for March next year, with a grand prize of P150,000. The president of the Mrs. Philippines Organization extended the invitation, recognizing Angelica’s potential due to her sense of style and her role in raising four athletic children.
Erika Joy Santos, the current Mrs. Philippines, praised Angelica’s dedication as a mother. Erika, who is also a business owner, said she would love to meet Angelica, even suggesting they get coffee together. As a fellow mother, Erika empathized with Angelica and believed she likely made many sacrifices to support her children. She offered Angelica advice, encouraging her to focus on self-care, stay positive, and remember that time heals all wounds.
Erika clarified that the pageant is open to all mothers, not just celebrities like Angelica. The goal of the event is to give women from all backgrounds a chance to participate. There are no restrictions based on age, size, or financial status. The only requirement is that participants must be mothers, whether married, single, widowed, or separated. However, single women without children are not eligible and can participate in other pageants in the Miss series instead.
According to Manila Bulletin, the winner of the 2025 Mrs. Philippines pageant will not compete in international contests but will take on a leadership role in community outreach projects. Erika emphasized that the organization wants everyday mothers to feel welcome and not intimidated by celebrity contestants. The pageant aims to give all women, especially everyday moms, a chance to shine.
Meanwhile, the organizing team of Mrs. Philippines includes creative and production director Jey Ar Cayetano, marketing and logistics director Cathy Bautista, finance director Queennie Santos, administrative director Joyce Villa, and partnerships director Princess Santos.
