AiAi Delas Alas – The veteran comedian offered advice to Chloe San Jose, the girlfriend of famous gymnast Carlos Yulo, regarding her relationship with Carlos’s mother.
In an interview shared by Bandera, AiAi emphasized the importance of Chloe maintaining a good relationship with Carlos’s mother, stating that without his mom, Carlos might not even be her boyfriend today.
AiAi Delas Alas added that since Chloe is “just a girlfriend,” it would be better for her to handle her interactions with Carlos’s mother gently to avoid any tension in their relationship. According to AiAi, having a good rapport with a partner’s family, especially the parents, is key to a harmonious relationship.
She also mentioned that she advises her own children to foster positive connections with the families of their future spouses or partners. She believes that maintaining a good relationship with in-laws is a crucial foundation for a happy and lasting partnership in the future.
Meanwhile, the conflict between Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose and the Yulo family began when Mark Andrew Yulo, Carlos Yulo’s father, publicly suggested that Carlos apologize to his mother, Angelica, for calling her a thief. Mark believed that an apology would improve Carlos’s public image. Chloe reacted by implying that Angelica had cursed Carlos before his Olympic qualification, which further escalated the situation.
Mark expressed frustration over the lack of response from Chloe and Carlos, stressing the importance of resolving the issue. Meanwhile, Carlos’s gymnastics coach, Gerald Fajardo, accused Chloe of causing the family rift by manipulating Carlos. Chloe defended her actions, asserting that she stands by her decisions and cannot please everyone. She emphasized that she knows her truth and has Carlos’s support.
