Peraphy Contestant Angelito Calida Clarifies His Earlier Posts
ANGELITO CALIDA – A contestant on the show Peraphy has addressed recent misunderstandings about his social media post.
He clarified that his comments were not directed at Eat Bulaga or the trio TVJ, contrary to some interpretations. Angelito expressed gratitude towards the show and its team for their support and explained that he is a regular viewer and supporter of Eat Bulaga.
“Sa mga netizens na nag-comment sa mga post ko, hindi po ang TVJ at Eat Bulaga ang sinasabihan ko ng walang respeto. Nagpapasalamat pa po ako sa kanila dahil inasikaso po nila ako backstage at ibinigay ng buo ang akin pong napanalunan,” he said.
The post in question was meant to address those who judged his actions towards SQ Ann. Angelito revealed that he has a seizure disorder and has been on medication for a long time. He apologized for any confusion his post might have caused and thanked those who understood his situation.
“FYI lang po, ako ay may seizure disorder at matagal na po akong under medicàtion. Pasensya na po kayong lahat at marami pong salamat sa mga taong nakaunawa po sa aking kalagayan,” he added.
During a recent segment of Peraphy, Angelito’s unusual behavior, including walking away from the hosts and approaching Singing Queen Anne for a hug, caused concern. The incident was managed professionally by hosts Vic Sotto, Miles Ocampo, and Ryzza Mae Dizon, who were praised for their handling of the situation.
In his social media statement, Angelito expressed his frustration with those who lacked empathy, which he felt added to his humiliation. Despite facing criticism, he thanked his supporters and reassured them that he is doing fine, choosing to focus on positive interactions and explaining that his actions were influenced by nervousness and the effects of air conditioning.
