DEAR SATAN – The title of the controversial movie starring Paolo Contis will be changed following criticism.
“Dear Satan” has faced backlash due to its controversial title. Concerned viewers deemed the title misleading, prompting producer Mavx to address the issue. On August 23, 2024, Mavx issued an open letter on Facebook explaining the situation.
The producer apologized if the title offended or discomforted anyone, clarifying that it was not intended to disrespect religious beliefs. Mavx stated that the title was chosen to reflect these themes but acknowledged the concerns of the audience.
In response to the criticism, Mavx decided to change the title to better align with the film’s intended message and to respect viewers’ sensitivities. This decision aims to ensure that the film’s moral core is accurately represented and that it resonates positively with the audience.
The MTRCB has yet to review the film, and Paolo Contis has opted not to comment further, suggesting viewers watch the film before passing judgment based on the title alone.
Meanwhile, “Dear Satan” is a film starring Paolo Contis, Aya Fernandez, and Shienna Stevens. The story follows a young girl named Chichi, portrayed by Shienna Stevens, who accidentally writes a letter to Satan instead of Santa Claus.
Upon receiving the letter, Satan, played by Paolo Contis, assumes he has a new soul to claim and attempts to tempt Chichi. Despite his efforts, Chichi remains unaffected by his attempts. A girl, played by Aya Fernandez, advises Satan to be patient with Chichi, suggesting he show her kindness instead of trying to lure her. Satan takes this advice and begins to grant Chichi’s every wish, trying to win her favor. Over time, he develops a genuine affection for the child, leading to a change in his approach.
