Carlos Yulo to Receive Free Wedding Performance from Moonstar88
MOONSTAR88 – The Filipino rock band has offered a free wedding performance for two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo.
Moonstar88 is a Filipino rock band formed in 1999. The band is known for its alternative and pop rock music. Over the years, they have been associated with several record labels, including Alpha Music, Sony BMG, Ivory Music, and currently Soupstar Entertainment/Warner Music Philippines.
The band consists of members Maysh Baay (vocals/guitar), Buddy Zabala (bass), Bon Sundiang (drums/vocals), and Herbert Hernandez (lead guitar). Past members include Paolo Bernaldo, Acel Bisa, William Pineda, and Teng Marcelo.
Moonstar88 has released several albums, including “Popcorn,” “Press to Play,” “Todo Combo,” “This Year,” and “Lourdes 2088.” They are known for popular songs such as “Torete,” “Sulat,” “Migraine,” and their renditions of “Panalangin” and “Senti.”
The band has received various awards and nominations, including recognition at the NU Rock Awards, RX 93.1 Awards, MYX Music Awards, Adobo Design Awards, ALTA Media Icon Awards, and Wish 107.5 Music Awards. Moonstar88 continues to be an influential presence in the Filipino music scene.
Meanwhile, the Filipino rock band has offered a free wedding performance for two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo. The band made the announcement through a Facebook post on August 7, celebrating Yulo’s achievements in gymnastics. They praised his impressive routines and joked about covering the music at his wedding, adding, “But no pressure, Caloy!” even if it takes until 2088.
“2 Golds!!! .Dahil di ka nahihilo, nalilito sa routine mo… sagot na namin ang tugtugan sa kasal mo, Caloy!” the band said. “Free wedding performance for Carlos Yulo.”
Yulo, 24, recently secured two gold medals at the Paris Olympics, triumphing in the floor exercise and vault finals of men’s artistic gymnastics. He is currently in a relationship with content creator Chloe San Jose.
