Lawyer for Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz Denies Accusations Against Independent GMA Contractors
JOJO NONES AND RICHARD CRUZ – The independent contractors and head writers are asking GMA Network not to dismiss them after Sparkle actor Sandro Mulach filed a serious complaint against them. The complaint alleges that Nones and Cruz took advantage of Sandro after the GMA Gala 2024, raising significant concerns.
In response to the complaint, Atty. Maggie Abraham Garduque, who represents Nones and Cruz, has firmly denied the accusations. She argues that Sandro’s claims are not supported by evidence and that the evidence actually contradicts his allegations.
Atty. Garduque said, “Mr. Nones and Cruz dispute all the allegations in the complaint and move for the dismissal thereof not only for lack of evidence, but worst due to the fact that the own evidence of the complainant is contrary to his allegations in the complaint.” This statement was made in a text message to Abogado.com.ph, highlighting her clients’ position.
Atty. Garduque provided specific details to challenge Sandro’s claims, pointing out that Sandro had accused Nones and Cruz of inviting him to their room after the gala. However, text message records show that it was actually Sandro who asked Nones and Cruz if he could visit them, which, according to Garduque, contradicts the accusations of inappropriate behavior.
In response to these accusations, Nones and Cruz are gathering more evidence to prove their innocence and address the claims against them. They are determined to clear their names with solid proof.
GMA Network has responded to the complaint by acknowledging its seriousness and pledging a thorough investigation. The network has not yet decided on the employment status of Nones and Cruz while the matter is under review. Meanwhile, the Muhlach family is eager to pursue legal action against the independent contractors of GMA.
