Joey Reyes Responds to the Issue Between Carlos Yulo and His Mom
JOEY REYES – The director and FDCP chairman shared his strong views on the ongoing issue between Angelica Yulo and her son, Carlos Yulo.
Reyes urged the media to focus on Carlos’s impressive achievement of winning two Olympic gold medals, which made the nation proud. He criticized the media for giving attention to Angelica Yulo’s personal drama, suggesting that her attempt to overshadow her son’s success should be ignored.
“My dear colleagues in media: He just lifted the spirit of the nation by winning TWO OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALS. The people are overwhelmed with pride and joy,” he said.
“So please don’t give media space to a drama queen mother who wants to tarnish the moment of GLORY of HER OWN SON regardless of personal reason. She and her narrative should be collectively IGNORED,” he added.
Recently, Angelica Yulo explained why she and her son are not on speaking terms. She addressed accusations that she mishandled the money Carlos earned from his victories. Angelica firmly denied these claims, saying she had enough evidence, such as deposit slips, to show she did not misuse the money. She pointed out that their lifestyle had not changed despite Carlos’s financial success, proving that she did not spend the money on personal luxuries.
Angelica also shared the emotional pain of being called a thief by her son, describing it as a major reason for their falling out. She felt deeply hurt and betrayed by these accusations, which she believes are unfounded.
Despite their issues, she expressed pride in Carlos’s achievements but also blamed his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, for making their problems worse. Angelica called San Jose a ‘red flag’ and suggested that her influence contributed to the difficulties in her relationship with Carlos.
