Chloe San Jose responded to Director Darryl Yap
CHLOE SAN JOSE – The girlfriend of Carlos Yulo reacted to Director Darryl Yap following his critical posts about her.
Yap had defended Yulo’s mother from online criticism by emphasizing her sacrifices and hard work in raising her children. He pointed out that while people celebrate Yulo’s achievements, they often overlook the struggles his mother endured to support him.
Yap also implied that San Jose’s presence in a video with Yulo might suggest that his comments were more about defending his girlfriend than the gymnast. In response, San Jose accused Yap of inserting himself into the situation unnecessarily.
“Parang ikaw lang direk, dami mong say. Quits lang,” San Jose remarked. Yap countered, “Paanong quits? Ikaw, pina say mo sa jowa.”
Earlier Carlos Yulo addressed the ongoing rift with his mother, Angelica Yulo, and the impact of his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, on their relationship. In a TikTok video, Yulo revealed that his mother had not disclosed all withdrawals from his bank account, which she managed on his behalf. He discovered these withdrawals when he took control of his finances, citing it as a significant issue of trust and transparency.
Angelica Yulo defended her actions, explaining that she made these financial moves to secure her son’s future, but Carlos was unaware of these transactions and felt betrayed. She also mentioned that tensions with Carlos had worsened due to her disapproval of San Jose, who she judged based on cultural differences.
Yulo clarified that San Jose is financially independent and supports herself through her own earnings. Despite the family dispute, Yulo expressed a desire to heal and move on, focusing on celebrating his achievements and those of other Filipino athletes. He acknowledged his mother’s congratulations but also noted that the hurtful remarks she made still affect him.
