Passport and Other Belongings of Catriona Gray Stolen in London
CATRIONA GRAY – Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and her family were victimized by a “basag-kotse” gang while in London.
Catriona Gray is a beauty queen, model, singer, and television personality. She began her public journey as Little Miss Philippines in Sydney at the age of five, later gaining prominence in the pageantry world. Gray first earned national recognition by winning Miss World Philippines 2016 and subsequently placed in the Top 5 at Miss World 2016. Her crowning achievement came in 2018 when she won Miss Universe Philippines and then the Miss Universe 2018 title, becoming the fourth Filipina to win the prestigious crown.
Gray’s Miss Universe victory was marked by her memorable “lava walk” and stunning evening gowns, which showcased her unique style and grace. Beyond her pageantry success, she has been a vocal advocate for women’s rights, indigenous culture, and various charitable causes. Gray’s post-Miss Universe career includes hosting television shows, performing, and serving as an ambassador for several organizations.
She has also been involved in social advocacy, including her role with Young Focus Philippines and as a representative for the Philippine Red Cross during the COVID-19 pandemic. She got engaged to Filipino-American actor Sam Milby, but unfortunately, their wedding might not push through.
Currently, Catriona Gray and her family are in London. After stopping for lunch on their way to the airport, they discovered their car had been broken into, with the back window smashed and passports along with other valuables stolen. Catriona shared her distress on Instagram, describing the incident as traumatic. The family was in the UK to visit Scotland, the birthplace of Catriona’s father.
“Robbed in the middle of London, whilst stopping for lunch on the way to the airport. Our passports and belongings – gone. Traumatized,” she noted in the caption.
