Juan Luna to Be Portrayed by Baron Geisler
BARON GEISLER – The actor shared details about his upcoming project where he will play the role of the painter Juan Luna.
Baron revealed that his manager, Arnold Vegafria, is working with Roy Iglesias to develop the script. Although the film will touch on Luna’s life, Baron emphasized that the focus will not be on Luna’s notorious act of killing his wife and mother-in-law. Instead, the film will highlight Luna’s brilliance and his journey to becoming the first ilustrado. “We’re not showcasing that part. Of course, may quirks but we’ll showcase his brilliance. How he started, how he became the first ilustrado,” he said.
In addition, the actor expressed his excitement for the upcoming project, noting that even though he has been part of historical films before, this will be his first time in a leading role. “I was always cast as a Spanish character before, like in El Presidente (2012) and Baler (2008). I’m praying that this goes through,” Baron added.
