Woman Received Help from Kind Strangers for Delivering Parcels on Foot
QUEZON CITY – A woman delivering parcels of food quickly circulated online and received help from kind strangers.
Mikee Tenorio, a Facebook user, shared photos of a female parcel delivery worker who diligently performs her job despite lacking a bicycle or motorcycle. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to Tenorio, the delivery employee identified as Jennilyn works tirelessly from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM, carrying parcels on foot throughout the Cubao area of Quezon City. Mikee described Jennilyn as an inspiration, especially for those facing hardships in life.
Mikee wrote that Jennilyn delivers parcels from Shopee, walking because she doesn’t have a motor or bike. She goes to the pick-up center at 5 AM, carries 150 parcels from the start, and distributes them around Cubao until 7 PM, sometimes even later.
The hardworking woman can still afford to smile and does her job the best way she can. The post quickly went viral, leading to an outpouring of support for Jennilyn. An anonymous donor provided her with a bicycle to make her job easier.
Tenorio also shared the good news that Jennilyn now has a ‘bicycle’. An anonymous donor messaged her to meet at the mall to buy her a bike. Jennilyn, her husband, and Mikee met the donor and her family at a restaurant and went directly to the bike store.
The concerned netizen’s act of kindness didn’t stop there, she even provided information for those wishing to help Jennilyn and her family further, directing them to her Facebook account.
The hardworking delivery employee expressed her renewed faith in humanity. She emphasized the unconditional nature of the help, coming from someone with pure intentions and no vested interest.
