DJ Kara Criticizes Love Radio for Insensitivity

DJ KARA – A DJ of Energy FM Radio criticized Love Radio for their insensitivity in including the late Lloyd Cadena in the options about which of their former DJs is the most dishonest.

DJ Kara criticized the station for including the late Lloyd Cadena in options about dishonesty, calling it insensitive. She emphasized that Lloyd cannot defend himself and urged Love Radio to avoid using deceased individuals in such options. DJ Kara suggested that the content was inappropriate and encouraged kindness and respect.

Nicole Hyala, a DJ at Love Radio, apologized after receiving feedback about including the late Lloyd Cadena in a poll. She admitted she hadn’t seen the final edit, expressed regret for the insensitivity, and requested that the post be removed.

The issue stemmed from content released by the station that asked which former Love Radio DJ is the most dishonest. Lloyd Cadena was one of the options, which disappointed many due to the lack of respect for his memory.

Despite Nicole Hyala’s apology, criticism continued to pour in from Lloyd’s fans and those who supported DJ Kara’s statement. They called for a higher level of sensitivity and respect in creating content, especially when it involves deceased individuals.

Meanwhile, Lloyd Cadena was a prominent Filipino vlogger, radio personality, and author. Known for his influential presence on YouTube, he amassed over 5.86 million subscribers and gained popularity for his diverse content, including parodies, travel vlogs, and challenges. He was also known for his work on the radio, where he hosted shows on 93.9 iFM and later on 90.7 Love Radio.

On September 1, 2020, Cadena was hospitalized after developing a high fever and cough. He tested positive for COVID-19 and passed away three days later, on September 4, due to cardiac arrest. His death occurred just before his 27th birthday.
