LAGUNA – An American Bully named Bini was discovered abandoned in a vacant lot in Nagcarlan severely malnourished and blind.
The Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKP) brought attention to Bini’s plight in a Facebook post on July 3, criticizing the act as akin to treating the dog like garbage. AKP quickly intervened, moving Bini from Laguna to Quezon City for urgent medical care.
Describing Bini’s condition as critical, AKP noted her disabilities and the urgent need for intensive treatment. On July 4, AKP revealed further troubling details: Bini still had stitches on her abdomen, suggesting she may have recently had surgery, likely for breeding purposes.
AKP expressed deep sadness over Bini’s situation, suggesting she may have once been a cherished pet or show dog before being heartlessly abandoned. They condemned the abandonment, stressing that pets should never be abandoned when they become inconvenient or less attractive.
The foundation issued a heartfelt reminder about responsible pet ownership, emphasizing that abandoning a pet is a profound betrayal of trust and care. They called for empathy and accountability, urging potential pet owners to consider the lifelong commitment involved.
In response to Bini’s case, AKP appealed for financial support to cover her extensive medical needs. They provided options for donations via GCASH, PayPal, and bank accounts, encouraging people to contribute to Bini’s recovery and support the foundation’s ongoing rescue efforts.
