Kim Chiu Breaks Silence on Breakup Issues with Xian Lim
KIM CHIU – The Showtime Host is hoping that her ex-boyfriend, actor-film producer Xian Lim, will stop giving statements on their breakup.
Countless hearts were left broken in December 2023 when Kim confirmed her breakup with Xian. The two (2) celebrities were together for 12 years — really long that many of their fans and supporters surely hoped it will lead to the altar. Many people were surprised by their separation.
Kim and Xian started as on-screen partners. Collectively called KimXi, they worked together in the hit television series My Binondo Girl and The Story of Us. The former couple also did a lot of movie projects together.
Both Kim Chiu and Xian Lim did not disclose the reason behind their breakup. In her post when she announced their breakup, the actress stated that it will be the last time that she will talk about it. However, it seems like Xian’s acts of giving statements on their separation did not sit well with the actress. Xian confirmed being in a relationship with Iris Lee a few months after their breakup.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe at the airport, Kim Chiu expressed her hope that Xian Lim will stop giving statements on their breakup. According to the actress, when she entered 2024, she just want a fresh start and a new beginning. She stressed that she does not want to dwell in the past.
Kim remained mum for around six (6) months now until just recently when she spoke about their breakup. She stressed that there are still talks about it as someone’s igniting the talks.
“Pero parang ang dami pa rin. Parang hindi naman siya mapag-uusapan kung no one’s lighting the fire,” the actress said.
In her message to her ex-boyfriend, during the interview, Kim Chiu told Xian Lim that their relationship ended but the journey was beautiful and she does not want to have hard feelings.
“Ayaw ko nang maging masama ang loob ko. Kasi paulit-ulit na lang. Let’s give it a rest and let’s leave respect to each other,” Kim said.
Xian Lim previously admitted that he called Kim Chiu after the breakup. He also cleared his name from the rumors by saying that the steak issue is not true. The actor also claimed that he was not the one who initiated their breakup.
