The former fiancée of Keith Martin in ‘EXpecially For You’
DIANA – The former fiancée of late American R&B singer Keith Martin revealed insights into their love story during her appearance on the “EXpecially For You” segment of It’s Showtime.
Diana revealed that she and Keith were together for a total of eight years, considering him the most significant man in her life. They experienced a temporary breakup for a couple of years before reconciling and continuing their relationship.
When asked about the most precious gift she received from Keith during their lengthy relationship, she shared: “Greatest gift ni Keith? I would say, that boy over there. Our son.” Despite their separation, they worked hard to raise their son together, ensuring he felt loved and supported by both parents, despite the challenges and imperfections along the way. Diana and Keith’s son is now 16 years old.
Regarding Keith’s proposal, Diana recalled, “Parang sandali lang eh, kasi nakakatawa ‘yung istorya niya kasi when he proposed, hindi kasya ‘yung singsing.” Despite Keith’s intention to resize the ring, he never did, and it slipped from their minds. Diana, being young and just out of college, had certain life expectations. However, with the arrival of their child, their priorities shifted to parenting and providing. Keith’s career as an artist took him abroad often, and while Diana supported him, their plans for marriage gradually faded amidst conflicts and the demands of life.
Diana emphasized that she and Keith parted ways amicably. She mentioned that they had been separated for a considerable period and added that Keith’s remains were kept at their home because he lacked family in the area, indicating that they were his only family. Keith passed away in 2022.
Meanwhile, Keith Martin was an American R&B singer-songwriter known for his hit song “Because of You.” He gained prominence in the late 1990s with his soulful ballads and smooth vocals. Martin’s music often centered around themes of love and relationships.
