AWRA BRIGUELA – A photo of the actor-comedian with the girl group, BINI, has elicited mixed reactions from netizens.
Awra is a talented entertainer known for his work as an actor, comedian, singer, and dancer. He gained widespread acclaim for his role as MakMak in the popular TV series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” and has since showcased his talent in a range of projects, including films like “The Super Parental Guardians.”
Awra’s early career began as an internet celebrity, where he gained attention for his humorous impersonations of local actresses. Over the years, he has expanded his repertoire, winning awards for his performances and even participating in reality TV competitions like “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.”
Recently, ABS-CBN took to the social networking site, Facebook, where she can be seen posing for a group photo with members of BINI taken during the Star Magic All-Star Games 2024 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Using the name of the P-pop girl group, netizens came up with various words to link to Awra’s past issue like BINI langgo and BINI Maoy.
To recall, Awra Briguela made headlines due to an altercation at The Bolthole Bar in Poblacion, Makati. The actor-comedian was apprehended during the incident but was released from Makati Custodial Jail on July 1, 2023, after Awra posted bail amounting to six thousand pesos.
Among the charges he faced were slight physical injuries, simple disobedience to a person in authority, violations of Article 283 (light threats) under the Revised Penal Code, violation of Article 286 (Grave Coercion) under the RPC, and Violation of Section 11(c) in relation to Section 11(a) of the Safe Space Act (or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law). However, it seemed that the charges did not push through.
