Hours after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. questioned her true identity, claiming he didn’t know her and that she was unknown in local political circles, Mayor Alice Guo of Bamban, Tarlac, responded by posting photos on social media to make her case.

On Thursday afternoon, Mayor Alice Guo shared two photos of herself with President Marcos, taken during his inspection of the Airport to New Clark City access road on February 20, where she was seemingly a guest.

She posted the photos about 20 minutes after Malacañang released a transcript of the President’s interview in Cagayan de Oro City earlier that day, in which Marcos mentioned that neither he nor other politicians, particularly in Tarlac, knew Guo before she was elected mayor. Malacañang did not immediately comment on Mayor Guo’s posts.

A look at her official Facebook page showed that on March 8, 2022, Mayor Guo also met Bongbong Marcos, who was a presidential candidate at the time, after his proclamation rally. One photo from the event showed them both in red shirts and face masks, while another captured them fist bumping.

Additionally, she shared a picture of herself exchanging a fist bump and high-fives with Speaker Martin Romualdez, who is the cousin of the President. These images were uploaded without accompanying captions but appeared to be aimed at addressing increasing doubts about her true identity and allegations suggesting her involvement as a Chinese spy in Philippine politics.
