Ice Seguerra reacts to the possibility of guesting on It’s Showtime
ICE SEGUERRA – The singer-songwriter gave a statement regarding the possibility of appearing as a guest on “It’s Showtime.”
In the latest episode of “Showbiz Updates” last Wednesday, May 8, showbiz insider Ogie Diaz asked him about this matter. “Si Ice ba hindi namin makikita talaga na mag-guest sa ‘It’s Showtime?’” Ogie inquired.
“I wouldn’t be comfortable, e,” Ice replied. “I mean, wala naman silang alitan or anything. Ako lang talaga siguro. Hindi ako magiging komportable.” he added. Ogie further asked: “Hindi ‘yong rason mo na bilang respeto sa TVJ? Or sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ na pinanggalingan mo?” The singer-songwriter responded, “Syempre, ‘yon na ‘yon, e. Kung wala akong respeto sa kanila, edi komportable akong gawin ang kung ano.”
Ice also mentioned that he doesn’t see the need to be a guest on “It’s Showtime” and bid farewell to the original hosts of its rival noontime show, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon. Nevertheless, Ice remains friends with the hosts of “It’s Showtime.” In fact, he even joined Unkabogable star Vice Ganda in a concert.
It’s worth noting that Joey also clarified through a video statement that they don’t consider “It’s Showtime” as their enemies.
