FAMAS Social Media Manager Speaks on Eva Darren Issue
FAMAS social media manager Johnrey Rivas resigned and made revelations on the controversy involving veteran actress Eva Darren.
Many people including celebrities were disappointed by the FAMAS-Eva Darren controversy. Eva Darren was invited to be a presenter to the FAMAS event but things did not went as expected.
Veteran actress Eva Darren who was also awarded with a FAMAS Best Supporting Actress decades ago for Pulubi accepted the invitation. She bought a dress and a pair of heels for the event. She also got a hair and make-up package.
Furthermore, the veteran actress memorized the script that was sent to her. She came to the event with three (3) of her grandchildren who also hoped to witness their grandmother on stage as a FAMAS presenter. However, it was unexpected that the veteran actress was never called to be a presenter.
FAMAS apologized to Eva Darren over the issue. According to the film award-giving body, they were not able to locate Eva Darren at the event. They replaced her with a young singer who went up the stage with Tirso Cruz III.
However, FAMAS social media manager Johnrey Rivas has a different revelation. According to him, Eva Darren was no longer part of the program two (2) days prior to the event. Thus, he claimed that the production staff did not look for the veteran actress at the event.
Rivas also claimed that it was Renz Spangler who was coordinating with the veteran actress and sent the invitation. However, he allegedly did not confirm the attendance of the veteran actress so she’s one of those whose names were removed from the final program.
The FAMAS social media manager also claimed that the young singer was not the very first replacement for Eva Darren. They also turned to actress Glaiza de Castro first but she was not available without a permission. They also asked Nova Villa but her eyesight problem hindered her so they asked a young singer to replace the veteran actress.
In his post, Rivas stressed that FAMAS still has the credibility and it is Renz who must be held accountable by what happened. Countless people were disappointed by what happened including veteran actress Divina Valencia who finds the reason of FAMAS unacceptable.
