Here’s the reaction of Cristy Fermin to the cyber libel case filed by Bea Alonzo
CRISTY FERMIN – The showbiz columnist reacted to the cyber libel case filed against her by Kapuso star Bea Alonzo.
In the latest episode of “Cristy Ferminute” on Friday, May 3, Cristy made a statement regarding the cyber libel cases filed against her by Bea on Thursday, May 2. According to her, anyone has the right to file a case, especially someone like her, a journalist, for whom cyber libel seems to be an occupational hazard. She also mentioned that she leaves it to the prosecution to decide who is right or wrong between her and Bea.
However, she cannot accept the accusation from Bea’s camp that the vlogs and shows she and showbiz insider Ogie Diaz create were made just to make money off the actress.
Earlier, Bea Alonzo filed three separate criminal cases for cyber libel at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office against showbiz columnists and online hosts Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, along with their co-hosts on their respective online programs.
The Kapuso actress also included in her complaint an online basher who pretended to be close to her. According to Bea’s complaint affidavit, she became a victim of false, malicious, and defamatory information spread by this individual and irresponsibly discussed on the online shows of Fermin and Diaz without any basis.
