Felson Palad shows support for his younger sister Sheena Palad over the snubbing of Eva Darren at FAMAS.
FELSON PALAD – The brother of Sheena Palad, the young singer who replaced veteran actress Eva Darren as a FAMAS presenter, voiced his support for his younger sister.
In an Instagram post, Felson Palad shared that he has raised his younger sister Sheena as if she were his own daughter. He expressed his deep affection for her, calling her “Nene,” and explained that he delayed marriage to support his sisters’ education. Despite the pain caused by the accusations and mistreatment Sheena has faced, he chooses to focus on her well-being.
“As with any parent, it pains me deeply to witness the accusations and mistreatment she has endured. However, I choose not to dwell on that and instead focus on my sister’s well-being,” he said.
Felson expressed confidence in Sheena’s toughness, stating that despite the hurt she has gone through, she remains strong. Sheena finds strength in her faith, believing her Heavenly Father watches over her and that she has been raised as a warrior guided by God’s word.
Veteran actress Eva Darren was supposed to present a special award at FAMAS with Tirso Cruz III, but Sheena replaced her at the last minute because the ushers couldn’t find Eva. FAMAS President Francia Conrad explained it was a mistake by the team during the live show. “Apparently, hindi siya nahanap ng ushers.”
FAMAS apologized to Eva and her family, and Eva’s son accepted the apology, hoping for better organization in the future. Sheena stated she was unaware Eva was supposed to present and was simply asked by staff to step in. “‘Yun lang po ‘yung alam ko. Hindi ko po alam na si Miss Eva ‘yung magpe-present po. Actually, nung time na ‘yon, I was clueless, hindi po kasi ako nanonood nung awards night because I was in the holding area, so hindi ko po alam paano mag-present,” she said.
