ARSHIE LARGA – The TikToker and pharmacist has been included in the Forbes “30 Under 30” Class of 2024.
Seven Filipinos have made it to the prestigious Forbes “30 Under 30” Class of 2024, a compilation of 300 outstanding young entrepreneurs, leaders, and innovators from the Asia-Pacific region. Selected from a pool of over 4,000 candidates, these individuals were assessed based on criteria such as financial success, social impact, creativity, and potential.
Among the Filipino honorees is Ramon Christian “Arshie” Larga, a content creator renowned for his entertaining yet informative videos on safe medicine use. As a licensed pharmacist working in Marinduque, Larga has amassed nearly 4 million followers on TikTok by sharing his experiences and insights. Notably, he has initiated fundraising efforts through social media to assist customers who struggle to afford pharmaceutical bills.
Other notable Filipino honorees include Chia Amisola, an internet artist and founder of Developh, a nonprofit promoting technology for liberation; Amanda Cua, founder of BackScoop, a startup news newsletter; and Abigail Marquez, known as the Lumpia Queen for her culinary videos on TikTok.
This year’s list spans various categories including Arts, Entertainment, Finance, Healthcare, and Social Impact, showcasing the diverse talents and achievements of young Asians. India, Japan, and China led in the number of listees, reflecting the region’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape. The panel of judges for this year’s Forbes “30 Under 30” Asia includes notable figures from the business and creative industries, underscoring the significance of this recognition.
Meanwhile, Arshie Larga is an alumnus of Centro Escolar University (CEU), specifically from CEU Makati, where he obtained both his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees. He gained recognition and acclaim for being named the TikTok Creator of the Year in 2023 during the TikTok Awards Philippines. Arshie has made a significant impact on the platform by using it as a means to educate and inform, particularly in the field of healthcare.
