Why Did Ana Ramsey Leave “It’s Showtime” for TV5?
ANA RAMSEY – The former “It’s Showtime” host explained why she left the Kapamilya noontime show for TV5.
It was on May 15, 2024, when TV5 introduced The Win Girls, the new co-hosts of Willie Revillame on his soon-to-air game show on TV5. The Win Girls are composed of TikTok sensation Queenay Mercado, former beauty contestant Fatima Kate Bisan aka Inday Fatima, and former “It’s Showtime” online host Ana Ramsey, who will join Willie on his game show. Willie personally selected Queenay and Inday Fatima, while Ana, the niece of singer Jaya, was highly recommended to him.
Ana gained fame as the “Trendy Diva.” Prior to being introduced as a co-host of Kuya Wil, she bid farewell to the noontime show that had been a part of her life for five years. “Thank you for over five years of fun and laughter, Madlang Onliners! I hope you continue to accompany and support me in the new chapter of my journey. Your Trendy Diva signing off.” However, she did not hint or indicate suspicion about leaving “It’s Showtime” to join TV5 and become one of Willie’s co-hosts.
Her move to TV5 raised questions among netizens and bashers alike. This prompted her to issue a clarification on why she decided to leave “It’s Showtime,” which has been her home for the last five years.
Ana Ramsey expressed the common desires shared by many people: the desire to work hard, support their families financially, achieve personal goals, bring joy to others, and serve as sources of inspiration. Ana questioned why someone wouldn’t simply be happy for others who are working hard and striving towards their goals. She advocates for empathy and support for those who are putting in effort to better themselves or their situations.
“At the end of the day ang gusto lang naman natin ay mag trabaho, makapag provide para sa pamilya, matupad ang mga pangarap, makapag pasaya at mag silbing inspirasyon,” she said. “Bakit hindi ka na lang maging masaya para sa taong nag susumikap?” she added.
