Alden Richards speaks about the possibility of a sequel to ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’
ALDEN RICHARDS – Asia’s Multimedia Star, is hopeful for the sequel of “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which was a box-office hit.
On Monday, he expressed his thoughts about his movie with the Outstanding Asian Star Kathryn Bernardo. “We are hoping for the best,” said Alden.
Recently, netizens have been speculating that a sequel might be in the works due to an Instagram post by Director Cathy Garcia-Molina. In the post, she shared a video taken at the Hong Kong International Airport with Star Cinema’s Creative Head Carmi Raymundo. “Nostalgic… hihi,” she said in the caption.
Meanwhile, on an online program hosted by showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin, it was reported that Alden would unquestionably accept the offer to make a sequel to “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” Fans have long been clamoring for a follow-up to the said movie, and now that Kathryn is single, the demand for it to be continued has only grown stronger.
“Hello, Love, Goodbye” is a 2019 Philippine romantic drama film directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and produced by Star Cinema. The film stars Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards in the lead roles. It tells the story of Joy, a determined young woman working hard as a domestic helper in Hong Kong, who plans to leave the city soon to pursue her dreams. Along the way, she meets Ethan, a bartender who is on the path to becoming a resident of Hong Kong. Despite their different backgrounds and goals, Joy and Ethan develop a deep friendship that blossoms into a romantic relationship.
The film explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the struggles faced by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in a foreign land.
