CHED TDP SCHOLARSHIP 2024 – Here is a guide on the requirements and the process in applying for the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Undeniably, schooling in college requires a lot nowadays even on the financial aspect. There is really a big challenge on the part of the parents and students most especially for those students whose parents got low salaries or are currently unemployed. Meanwhile, there are options that can turn to for relief or aid in carrying the financial burden of being in college.
One of the options that you may turn to is to apply for a scholarship. In the Philippines, there are several entities that provide scholarships for tertiary education students. One of these institutions is the Commission on Higher Education or more popularly called CHED.
CHED has launched several scholarship programs which include the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP). Who are qualified to apply for the CHED TDP scholarship 2024? Here are the eligibility criteria set by the government institution:
- Filipino undergraduate students enrolled in any first undergraduate degree programs in any of the following:
- Private Higher Education Institutions (Private HEIs)
- State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)
- Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) with Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC)
- combined gross income of the household (parent or guardian) must not exceed PHP 400,000 annually
- must not exceed the prescribed program
- not a beneficiary of TES, CHED Scholarship Programs (CSPs), and other national government-funded StuFAPs
Under the CHED TDP scholarship 2024, a scholar may get as much as Php 15,000 for one (1) academic year. To apply for the offer, there are requirements that you need to prepare and submit to your TES Focal Person at your Higher Education Institution (HEI). Here’s a guide:
New Applicants
- Tulong Dunong Program-Tertiary Education Subsidy Application Form
- Certified True Copy/ Electronically Generated Certificate of Enrolment (COE) or Certificate of Registration (COR) showing the number of units enrolled as proof of enrollment
- Certificate of Indigency as proof of income signed by the Punong Barangay where the applicant lives
- one (1) piece 1×1 picture
- two photocopies of current and valid School ID – front and back
- duly-accomplished TDP-TES Grant Program Form available at the CITY HALL SATELLITE OFFICE upon submission of the previous documentary requirements
- income requirements:
- latest Income Tax Return (ITR) and a Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Form 2316 for fixed income earners’ parents/guardians if employed
- Certificate of Tax Exemption from the BIR for unemployed parents/guardians
- Certificate of Indigence from the Barangay
For Continuing Beneficiaries
- Certified True Copy/ Electronically Generated Certificate of Enrolment (COE) or Certificate of Registration (COR) showing the number of units enrolled as proof of enrollment
- Certified True Copy of Leave of Absence (LOA) submitted to the HEI for students returning after not enrolling for one semester within an academic year (if applicable)
- income requirements:
- latest Income Tax Return (ITR) and a Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Form 2316 for fixed income earners’ parents/guardians if employed
- Certificate of Tax Exemption from the BIR for unemployed parents/guardians
- Certificate of Indigence from the Barangay
To apply for the scholarship, go to your TES Focal Person at your Higher Education Institution (HEI) to have your name included in the list of applicants. The TES Focal Person will guide you on the next steps based on your locality.
