“I have the most contact with Inday Sara and how we were with each other during the campaign, after the election, it hasn’t really changed,” PBBM said.

“She says, ‘No, I’ll just work. Don’t worry about it. I’ll just work and work and work and work.’ That’s her attitude,” the president said.

While tensions between the Marcos and Duterte factions have escalated, marked by relentless attacks from the Duterte camp, Vice President Duterte opted for silence amidst the discord. In January, Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte challenged Marcos Jr. to step down, coinciding with protests against Charter change during Marcos’ Bagong Pilipinas rally in Manila.

Former President Duterte also accused Marcos Jr. of drug use, leading Marcos Jr. to attribute the allegations to the effects of fentanyl, a painkiller previously acknowledged by the former president. Additionally, Duterte criticized Marcos Jr.’s frequent international travels in March, a critique that Marcos Jr. shrugged off.
