MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2024 – The Miss Universe Philippines competition continues to generate excitement among pageant enthusiasts, with the online release of the delegates’ introduction video.

The search of the next Miss Universe Philippines has officially begun, with 55 candidates formally introduced. Last month, the contenders for the 2024 pageant edition were unveiled to the public, sparking anticipation among fans.

This excitement soared with the release of the delegates’ introduction video online, following weeks of sharing their photos on social media platforms. Scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 15 via Empire Philippines’ official YouTube channel, the video launch generated considerable buzz.

Empire Philippines oversees not only the Miss Universe Philippines pageant but also its sister searches, The Miss Philippines Culture and Heritage Celebration, and Mister Pilipinas Worldwide.

In the introduction video, the 55 delegates offered glimpses into their backgrounds and aspirations, providing a deeper understanding of their lives and personalities beyond what photos and brief clips could convey. Additionally, the video marked the start of the eagerly anticipated video challenge series, a tradition among dedicated pageant enthusiasts. This series features various videos showcasing the delegates’ entries in categories such as glam, swimsuit, and runway.

In last year’s Runway Challenge, reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Marquez Dee secured a spot among the Top 5 delegates, while Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol, who later won the title of Miss Supranational Philippines, emerged as a standout in the runway category and even topped the Swimsuit Challenge. However, the release dates for this year’s video challenge series have not been announced yet.

This edition of the pageant marks the fifth standalone search for the country’s representative in the annual Miss Universe competition. Michelle Marquez Dee achieved a Top 10 placement in the global competition held in El Salvador last year.

The winner of this year’s Miss Universe Philippines title will represent the Philippines in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held in Mexico later this year, aiming to secure the nation’s fifth victory in the prestigious international competition.

The Philippines has previously produced four Miss Universe winners: Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018).
