Female lawmaker criticizes Davao Police for not knowing Quiboloy’s whereabouts
FRANCE CASTRO – The House Deputy Minority Leader and ACT Teachers Representative, condemned the Davao Police over its statement claiming that they do not know the whereabouts of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the self-proclaimed appointed son of God.
Castro observed a “glaring double standard” as the police allegedly do not know where Quiboloy is despite its intelligence fund, while activists like Eco Dangla and Axielle Tiong were reportedly unlawfully arrested. Castro called on authorities to ensure equal treatment for all individuals.
The Senate and the House of Representatives issued a warrant of arrest against Quiboloy after he failed to attend their respective hearings despite subpoenas issued against him. According to reports, the Davao Police do not know where Quiboloy is, the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), who previously admitted in an audio statement that he is in hiding due to threats to his life.
The Senate summoned Quiboloy regarding allegations of assault and misconduct reportedly happening within the KOJC. Meanwhile, the House issued a subpoena against the Pastor concerning its investigation into alleged violations by Sonshine Media Network International, Quiboloy’s media arm.
Apollo Carreon Quiboloy, commonly known as Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, is a religious leader and the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, Inc. (KJC), a religious organization headquartered in Davao City, Philippines. He claims to be the “Appointed Son of God” and teaches his followers about salvation, divine healing, and prosperity gospel.
Quiboloy gained prominence for his charismatic preaching style and large following, both in the Philippines and internationally. His organization has faced controversies and legal issues over the years, including allegations of misconduct and financial irregularities, which Quiboloy and his followers vehemently deny.
