Pateros River in Manila Cleaned by Australian Dad
MIKE SMITH – An Australian dad earned praise from netizens for cleaning the Pateros River in Manila.
The Pateros River is a waterway that flows through the municipality of Pateros in Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a small river that serves as a drainage channel for rainwater and runoff from surrounding areas. The river plays a significant role in the local ecosystem and serves as a habitat for various aquatic species.
However, like many urban rivers in the Philippines, the Pateros River faces challenges such as pollution and encroachment. Efforts to rehabilitate and clean up the river have been undertaken by local government authorities and environmental organizations to preserve its ecological balance and improve water quality. These initiatives aim to ensure the sustainability of the river and its surrounding environment for future generations.
