Prompted by the recent Valentine’s Day, Dr. Vicki inquired about the beginning of their relationship, and Maris, in a playful manner, apologized to Rico, as it seemed to be the first time she openly shared this story.
According to Maris Racal, they kept their relationship private for two years before publicly acknowledging that they are happily in love, understanding, and harmonious, particularly regarding their shared passion for music.

On Dra. Vicki Belo’s YouTube platform, Maris Racal detailed how her relationship with Rico, confessing to harboring a crush on him for a long time. Consequently, she reportedly prays to God for a younger version of Rico.
The journey began with Maris sharing her interest in collaborating with artists or musicians for her written songs. Eventually, someone tagged Rico in Maris’s post, which later caught the attention of the person she admired.
“Oh my God isi-share ko ba to? Babe, sorry! And then one day, bigla nalang siyang nag-aya ng hindi movie e, parang yung play ng Eraserheads. Kasi in-invite siya… kasi music event naman. Hindi pa rin halata.” “And then ako ‘yung nagsabi na, huh? Nahihiya ako! Ta’s sabi ko nalang may movie akong gustong panoorin…Ta’s hindi natuloy yung movie, nag-change yung mind ko.
