Barbie Forteza talked about her past auditions that didn’t go well
BARBIE FORTEZA – The Kapuso actress talked about her past auditions that didn’t go well on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
Boy asked her about it, and Barbie confirmed she had experienced failed auditions. She remembered trying out for three TV series when she was young: ‘Marimar,’ ‘Dyesebel,’ and ‘Darna.’ She didn’t get the roles because she was afraid of dogs for ‘Marimar,’ couldn’t swim for ‘Dyesebel,’ and was scared of heights for ‘Darna.’
“‘Yong una, ‘Marimar’ ‘di po ako natanggap kasi takot ako sa aso noon. E, ‘di po ba may Pulgoso? Number two, ‘Dyesebel.’ Hindi ako marunong lumangoy. Ganda lang ang abot ni girl. E, medyo ‘yon ang point ng show. Medyo dapat marunong kang lumangoy,” she said.
Despite these setbacks, Barbie finds it funny to look back on these experiences. Boy mentioned that these experiences make her appreciate where she is now and inspire others who are still trying. Barbie will star in a new show called “Pulang Araw,” set to be released this year, alongside David Licauco, Sanya Lopez, and Alden Richards.
