In Taguig, a woman was arrested for ‘pananalisi’ and biting a Korean national victim
SALISI – A woman allegedly involved in “pananalisi” and assaulting a Korean national was arrested in BGC, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Tuesday night.
According to the Fort Bonifacio Police Substation 1 report, foreigners were waiting to cross the pedestrian lane when a group of thieves suddenly surrounded them. The victim, engrossed in a cellphone conversation, was pushed by a male suspect from behind, while three women surrounded and pushed him from the front, causing him to fall. When he stood up, he realized his sling bag was missing.
Korean nationals spotted a suspect and followed her to a parking lot, where a commotion ensued. BGC marshals quickly responded, capturing one of the suspects. The Korean victim claimed that the suspects bit his hand during the incident. The BGC marshal, Nhor Sandigan, described the suspect as aggressive, even hurling insults at them.
“Kasagsagan ng traffic saka ang daming taong tumatawid. Naabutan po namin sa parking. Sabi ng Koreano, ‘yung kamay niya kinagat daw ng mga suspek,” Sandigan said. “Napaka-agresibo niya. Minumura pa nga kami e,” he added.
The captured suspect was taken to the precinct. The suspect explained that she resorted to the act out of necessity but denied biting the victim, stating that she only intervened. However, the police noted that the suspect attempted to bribe the victims with P50,000 for a settlement, but the victims remained determined to pursue charges against her.
“We are really going to pursue a robbery case. We’re hoping to get the identities of the other people involve in this incident. We just want justice to be served,” said Atty. Justin Mikhael Abraham, the victims’ lawyer. Authorities issued a warning about this type of modus operandi, advising people to stay vigilant and not be overly lax when outdoors. The police emphasized the importance of remaining cautious to prevent falling victim to such schemes.
