Toni Gonzaga makes a comeback on Eat Bulaga
TONI GONZAGA – The actress and television host made a comeback on Eat Bulaga, not as a host but as a participant in the segment “Gimme 5: Laro ng mga Henyo” on TV5.
This appearance is part of the promotional activities for her upcoming movie, “My Sassy Girl,” scheduled to be screened nationwide on January 31, 2024. The film marks her first collaboration with comedian Pepe Herrera, a cast member of the movie “Rewind,” which recently earned the title of the “highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time,” surpassing “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
This marks Toni’s second return to the noontime show, a few years after her departure and move to ABS-CBN. The first return was in 2022 to promote “My Teacher,” their initial Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry with Joey De Leon.
Toni is currently making waves on social media following her appearance on “Eat Bulaga,” with many suggesting the possibility of her returning as one of the hosts. However, there is no official statement from Toni’s camp regarding whether she would consider a regular hosting role on the show where she initially started during her time with GMA Network. Presently, Toni is a contract artist with ALLTV, accessible on the former frequency channel of ABS-CBN.
