- at least twenty-one (21) years old and no more than thirty (30) years old
- person with moral integrity
- passer of PNP’s physical, psychological, and psychiatric exams
- drug-free
- must have qualified under the following:
- PNP Entrance (NAPOLCOM)
- RA No. 1080 (Bar and Board Examinations)
- PD No. 907 (CS eligibility to College Honor Graduates)
- has not been dishonorably discharged from military service or fired for cause from any civilian government office
- must be one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62 m) tall, while females must be one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m)
- must have not been convicted of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude by final judgment
- must weigh not more than five kilograms (5 kg) more or less than the normal weight corresponding to his/her weight, age, and gender
