JAKE ZYRUS – The singer expressed optimism for 2024 while leaving behind the ugly rumors and noises of 2023.
Jake Zyrus, formerly known as Charice Pempengco, is a Filipino singer, songwriter, and actor born on May 10, 1992, in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines. Jake gained international recognition for his powerful singing voice and rose to fame after appearing on the talent show “Little Big Star” in the Philippines.
He gained even more widespread recognition after Ellen DeGeneres discovered him on YouTube and invited him to perform on her show. Charice’s talent was further showcased when he appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
In 2013, Jake Zyrus publicly came out as a transgender man and changed his name from Charice to Jake. Since then, he has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility.
Jake has released several albums and has ventured into acting, both in the Philippines and internationally. Over the years, he has faced various challenges and controversies, but he has continued to pursue his career in the entertainment industry.

It can be recalled that Jake faced various issues concerning his career and family, especially for allegedly not reaching out to his mother, Raquel Pempengco, even though some of his relatives had passed away and needed financial support.
